[Obituary] ERWIN E. WHITE Arkport-- Erwin E. White, 65, of Route 36, died Friday (Nov. 22, 1965) at St. James Mercy Hospital. He was employed by the Alfred State College as a grounds keeper. He was a former employee of the Groves Construction Co., and the owner and operator of Hillcrest Manor in Canaseraga from 1966 to 1976. He was a member of the Arkport American Legion and the Eagles Club of Hornell. He was a past member of the Canaseraga Lions Club and past commander of the American Legion in Canaseraga. He was a World War I Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a daughter, Kathleen Salvagin of Hornell; three sons, William of Rochester, Robert of Arkport and Richard of Hornell; a brother, Lindon of Almond; and eight grandchildren. Friends will be received... today at the Mann Funeral Home in Canaseraga, where a service will be... Monday. Burial will be in Alfred Rural Cemetery.
