Wilhelm was the son of Meerholz Burgermeister, Johann Georg and Katharina Volz Reusswig. On March 26, 1854 in Meerholz, he married Katharina Margartha Riess.They were my great great grandparents.

Ernst Wilhelm Reusswig
The death of Ernst Wilhelm Reusswig occurred at his residence, No 24 Chenango Avenue yesterday morning. Mr. Reusswig was born in Meerholz, province of Hanau, Hessen-Nassau, Germany in 1829. He emigrated to this country in 1878 and resided in Lower New York Mills , leaving which he came to Utica. He was a member of Moravian church and of Gerraanis lodge No 21, empire order of murual aid. He leaves a widow and six children. Mrs. Michael Rohm, Utica: Mrs. George Wolfe, Marcy: Magdalena, Elizabeth, Wilhelm and Freddie Reusswig, Utica and three brothers and one sister. George Ernst of Germany. Rev. H. Reusswig, Hector, Minn, Ernst H. Reusswig, Utica and Magdalena Spahl, mother of Mrs. Anthony Rohm. The funeral will be attended from the Moravian church at 2 p. m. tomorrow.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral from his late residence, No 24 Cheuango Avenue, Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 1:30 P. M. and from the Moravian Church, corner of Cooper and Cornella streets at 2 P. M.. Interment at New York Mills.
