The father was PROBABLY in Wattsburg in 1863. This is extrapolated data, however. His wife gave birth to his son then and there. PROBABLY Erastus Senior was in town for the birth of his son unless we find other evidence to the contrary. This was during the American Civil War, so it is possible that the father was serving elsewhere at the time.---------------
