Erasmus Compton had about 300 acres of land in several small tracts, all in Orange County, North Carolina on the waters of Nyco and Stagg Creek. Erasmus died interstate but estate settlement discloses William C, Margaret H, Elizabeth J, and Livinia Jane who were all children and heirs of Erasmus but under age of 21 years of age. These children had their mother, Jane sign for their part of the estate (Erasmus second wife). Their marriage record was not found.

Erasmus is buried on the old home place, Corbett Store, North Carolina.
