    "Ephraim Peabody 'being very weak of body but In perfect Memory and Understanding' made his last will and testament 4 July 1728. He named his 'dear and loving wife Hannah,' eldest son Thomas (not yet 21), Thomas's brothers (unnamed), daughter Mary, daughter Hannah. The will was witnessed by Nathan Peabody, Stephen Rannells, and Thomas Reddington. Ephraim Peabody of Boxford was declared non compos mentis with guardianship granted to Stephen Peabody and Thomas Reddington on 18 May 1732. Ephraim Peabody, son of William and Hannah, d. Boxford, 16 June 1740, aged 52. On 23 June 1740, Thomas Reddington and Stephen Rannels made oath that they were present when 'Ephraim Peabody late of Boxford Dec[ease]d' signed his will."
