25 May 1757 Jacob Holland of Ann Arundel County, Province of Maryland of the one part and James Walker of the same County ... for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty pounds current money to him in hand paid Hath given granted Bargained and confirmed unto him the said James Walker all that Tract or Parcel of Land called and known by the name of Bucks Contrivance containing by Estimation 117 acres being on the South side of Patapsco River on or near the head of of a Branch called Kittens Branch. MD naming: son Joseph Howard - land in Anne Arundel on the West side of Patuxent River and slave Adam son Ephraim Howard - all his land in Frederick Co. called Lapland and slave named Will son Henry Howard - all my lands in Ann Arundel that are on the SE side of the Patuxent River and slave Bob dau. Martha Howard - slaves Sam and Cloe dau. Margaret Mackelfish - slave Frederick but if she or any other person on her behalf make a demand of a childs part of her father's estate she would not get Frederick and he should be deemed part of the estate son Joseph his exor. - daughters Sarah and Martha could stay in the dwelling house till they marry and sons Joseph and Henry were to find them land for their people to work till then.
