BIOGRAPHY: Enos was six years old when his parents divorced. He went to live with the Jones' family at first; later he lived with his Aunt Josie Eddy. He left the farm and went to Battle Creek, Michigan to work. There he met and married Adaline Einhardt, sister of Emma Boyce. They went to Glens Ferry, Idaho to live, and Enos went to work for the Oregon Short Line Railroad. This work he liked, and he soon worked up to be a conductor. Adeline's health failed, and they moved to Los Angeles, California for her health. Enos went to work for the Southern Pacific Railroad. Adaline only lived a few months after moving to Los Angeles. Enos joined the Masonic Lodge of Rome City, as he wanted to be a member of the lodge of which his grandfather was a charter member. In 1913 he joined Loyalty Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. He was also a member of the Order of Railroad Conductors.

DEATH: December 1, 1922, while on duty, his big toe was crushed in an accident. He was taken to the White Memorial Hospital; from there he was taken to the Southern Pacific Hospital in San Francisco. There he died December 18, 1922 of lockjaw.

BURIAL: With Masonic services, he was laid to rest December 21 in Rosedale Cemetery (next to his first wife). His death was a terrible blow to Mildred.
