"Engeltje Van den Bergh, wife of Bastian T. Visscher, died in Albany, Nov. 17, 1789, and was buried in the Dutch grave yard in Hudson Street. On building the church on that ground her remains were removed to the ground on the hill (now the Park). The coffin was opened at the request of her husband, and her appearance was as fresh and perfect as when she was laid in the ground nearly twenty years before." (Talcott.)
