Mrs. Emma J., nee Schaffer, Lauchnor, wife of John Lauchnor, died Saturday night at her home, Lehigh Furnace, Slatington R. 2, after an illness of heart trouble and dropsy. She was 65 years, 3 months and 11 days of age. Mrs. lauchnor was born in Washington township, Lehigh county, the daughter of the late Phaon and Eliza, nee Blose, Schaffer. She was twice married, her first husband, Elias Haak, preceding her in death some years ago. Her second husband survives as do four children, Mrs. Calvin Schneck, of Schnecksville; and Mrs. Robert Evans, of Slatedale, children of her first marriage; and Mrs. Ralph Frantz, Slatington R. 2; and Francis Lauchnor, at home, daughters of the second marriage. Ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and five brothers, Wilson Schaffer, Newside; Osville Schaffer, Germansville R. 1; Harvey Schaffer, Slatington; and henry and Aaron Schaffer, Slatington R. 2, also survive. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran and Reformed church at Slatedale, the Lehigh Furnace Union Sunday school and the Trinity church Sunday school. The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock, with services at her late home to be followed by regular services in Trinity church at Slatedale. Rev. E. S. Kidd, of Allentown, and Rev. R. Urffer, of Neffs, will officiate. Interment in the Slatedale cemetery.
