    Mrs. Owen Martin of Plains, Is Dead, Life long resident of County dies on steps of Church.
    The Plains - Feb 1 Mrs. Emma Larson Martin, wife of Owen Martin died here last evening about 7 o’clock from a severe attack of heart trouble. The time of the funeral will not be announced until relatives in the West are heard from.
    Mrs. Martin was 53 years of age and had lived in this vicinity nearly all of her life. Some months were spent in recent years in the West. She had not been well of late although she had been about her home as usual. Last evening she started to church and was stricken while mounting the steps of the structure dying in a few minutes later. She leaves a husband and seven children, four daughters and three sons. Three children preceded her in death. The children left are Clifford, of Glouster, Will and Charlie at home, Mrs. Grace West, of Hocking, Ethel of Middleport, and Mabel and Edith, who are married and live in the West.

    The funeral of Mrs. Owen Martin, who died Friday evening at The Plains was held this afternoon at 2 o’clock at The Plains church and burial was made there.
