In 1941 Alberta West receives a card from Emma on the occasion of fifty years since their high school graduation. The card has a drawing of the school and pink and light green ribbons. Below is the following sentiment: "Time may rob us of our treasure Sorrow fill our lives with tears, Still there linger to console us Memories of bygone years." On the back is written: Dear Bertie: Fifty years ago, do you remember? Greetings from an old class-mate. It is signed: Emma H. Jones McKenny. The envelope was postmarked May 6, 1941 from Snoqualmie, Wash.
