  1.   MEMORY: Emma & August Klaus: Grandmother and Grandfather Klaus`s truck farm was just about a mile away from Fee Fee Cemetery. I use to meet my buddy (who was two years behind me in school) at the cross roads of Fee Fee and Old McKelvey where the entrance to the Cemetery was, then walk to school together. We did that until I graduated from high school in 1940. I remember those days at the farm. We grew almost every kind of vegetable that would grow there. There was also a large orchard of apple, peach, plum, pear and cherry trees. Grandpa never took them to the market, rather, he sold them directly to stores. He had regular customers that we delivered to twice sometimes three times a week. They raised me from the time I was 8 or 9 until right before I enter the Navy . Grandmother Klaus had a large garden of Peonys and Roses in the front of the house (which by the way is still there). The Old Jewish Sanitarium was across the road from us and she would sell them to the people who came to visit there. ( ~ from Uncle Aug)
