It appears that Emma and David were separated in 1880. 1900 She was living with her parents, Edward and Phoebe Cook. 1905 She was living with her widowed father, and her son, at her father’s home, at 12 William Street. 1910 She was living with her daughter, Cora Jane Dickson. 1915 NY State Census (Erie, Buffalo, Ward 17, ED 6, Block 1, Assy Dist 8, penned she 21, ln 34, ancestry.com, no source info) Lester P. Dickson 42, bl, b. U.S., citizen, chef. His wife, Cora J. 38, bl, b. U.S. Their son, Lester L. 14, bl, b. U.S., attended school. Also living with them, Lester’s brother- and mother-in-law: Edward D. Lee 35, bl, b. U.S., waiter; and Emma Lee 60, bl, b. U.S. They were living at 204 Laurel. 1920 She was living with her daughter, Cora Jane Dickson. 1922 Feb 28, 1922, NY State Death Certificate No. 1172, Emma Lee, resided at 204 Laurel, Buffalo, b. 2/3/1850, was 72 years 25 days old at time of death. She was b. Buffalo, father was Edward Cook b. Baltimore, MD, mother was Phoebe Lansing b. Palatine, NY. Emma’s husband was David M. Lee, who was also the informant. She died of Acute gastritis, and diabetes mellitus was a contributing factor. Buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery on March 3, 1922, F. J. Kraft & Son was the undertaker (31 E. Huron St.). References
