MRS. EMMA GERTRUDE ALDOUS.

Widespread sympathy will be felt with Mr. Edward Aldous, of Central Lansdowne, in the loss of his wife (Mrs. Emma Gertrude Aldous) by death, which occurred in a private hospital in Taree on Sunday after-noon last, at the early age of 34 years. The late Mrs. Aldous became ill about a month ago and came to Taree for treatment. Becoming considerably relieved, she returned to her home but on Friday night of last week it was thought necessary to again consult a doctor and she was taken to Taree. She returned home, but on Sunday morning serious symptoms developed and Mr. Aldous decided to take his wife to Mayo Hospital at once, and there she was operated on. She survived the operation, but during the afternoon commenced to fail, and passed away about 6.30. Deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Blore, of Cundle Plains, and was married to Mr. Aldous about 14 years ago. She was of a quiet disposition and was essentially a woman who loved to look after her home life and family. She enjoyed widespread esteem, and her passing will be regretted very much, much sympathy going out to the bereaved husband, who is left with three children — Dorothy (13 years), Joyce (11) and Leslie James (7 months). Sisters and brothers of deceased are: Mrs. Percy Hall. Cundle Plains: Mrs. Edward Hall, Taree Estate; Mrs. Oswald Hall. Central Lansdowne: Mrs. Lance Tyrie, Lansdowne; Mrs. A. J. Latimore. Bungay; Messrs. Edward and Victor Blore, Cundle Plains. Deceased's mother died in July of this year. The remains were laid to rest in the Dawson cemetery on Monday afternoon, the Rev. B. V. Davis (Anglican minister at Coopernook) conducting the service. Mr. W. T. Howard was the undertaker.
