Emily's grandchildren would call her "grimmy". Dorothy remembers Emily living with her family for awhile. She died while living with the Paulsen's. Her daughter Ethel took the kids and went and lived with Emily for about 1 year after her husband, Edward died.

Emily and brother Joseph were twins.

Glendale Cemetery records list cause of death as "chronic hypertension".
