Obituary in the Noblesville Ledger, Noblesville, IN December 22, 2003:

Cicero - Emil John McBride, 57, of Cicero died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, in Richard L. Roudebush Medical Center in Indianapolis. 

    Mr. McBride was a U. S. Air Force veteran.  He was born February 21, 1946, in Huntington, Ind., the son of Ira and Mary Francis (Schenkel) McBride.  His parents survive.  Additionally, he is survived by a daughter, two sons, a sister, two brothers, and a granddaughter.  
    Calling will be 4-6 p.m. today at Randall and Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville.  There will be no services. (A memorial service followed the calling.)  Memorials can be made to The American Lung Association, 9445 Delegates Row, Indianapolis, IN  46240.

A memorial service followed the calling. He was cremated and part of his ashes were taken to Texas as he had requested before his death. Some of the ashes were buried with his father a year later, and the remainder of the ashes were buried with is mother.
