Emery C Shively Jan. 24, 1926 -- Aug. 5, 2003 ------ Emery C Shively, 77, of Patterson St, Gibsonburg, died Tuesday at St. Char les Mercy Hospital in Oregon. He was born in Fremont to Clarence and Bertha (Taulker) Shively. Emery served with the U.S Army during World War II in Europe. On June 4, 1 949, he married Florence Van Ness at Zion Lutheran Church in Gibsonburg a nd she survives. Emery was employed as a machine operator and began working at the OH Li me CO of Woodville. He had also worked as a carpenter and retired from t he Chrysler Corp. in 1987 after 17 years. Surviving in addition to his wife are children James (Susan), Gary (Pam) a nd John (Treva), all of Gibsonburg; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandch ildren; and sister Lucille Nehls of Hessville. He is preceded by his paren ts, brother Ervin and sister Mildred Schneider. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Ho me, Gibsonburg. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg, with Re v. Blair Miller and Rev. Robert Wiettleman officiating. His body will l ie in state one hour before the services. Burial: West Union Cemetery with military rites by the Gibsonburg Americ an Legion Post. Memorials: To the church. |
