- ↑ "E. Glen Strausbaugh, 70, 346 College Ave., was dead on arrival atFostoria City Hospital Tuesday afternoon following a short illness. Hewas born March 12, 1914, in Gallia County to William and Ida (Russell)Strausbaugh. He married Helen Shuff in Tiffin on March 23, 1940, and shesurvives. Also surviving are two sons, Michael and Charles, bothstationed with the Air Force in Germany; a daughter, Mrs. Jed (Ilene)Geary, McCutchenville; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Clyde,Fostoria; Stanley, Cygnet; George, Tiffin; and a sister, Mrs. TenaNiday, Fostoria. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Joe, twobrothers, and three sisters. Mr. Strausbaugh retired in 1973 from theUnion Carbide Corp. where he had worked for 35 years. He was a memeberof High Street United Methodist Church and was a former Scoutmaster ofthe church's troop. He was a World War II veteran and a member of theFostoria Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. Services will be 10:30amSaturday at Hoening Funeral Home, the Rev. James T Mussman officiating .Burial will be in Memory Gardens, near Arcadia. Visitation will be from7 to 9pm Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Friday at the funeralhome. Memorial may be made to the church or to the Heart Fund."
