Eloise D. Crumrine, 82, of East Berlin, Pa., died Monday, April 21, 2008.
She was born on August 8, 1925 in Smock, Pa., a daughter of J. Arch and Marie White Davis.
On August 5, 1943, she married Frank E. Crumrine, who died on November 11, 1992.
Mrs. Crumrine was a member of St. Oliver Plunkett Parish and Catholic Daughters of America of the church from 1943 to 2006. After moving to East Berlin, she joined the Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Abbottstown, Pa.
For over 32 years she served as the elected tax collector for Centerville Boro and Beth Center School District.
Mrs. Crumrine enjoyed working around the home, books of Asian culture, crocheting, and reading stories written by Irma Bombeck.
Surviving are three daughters: Vivian Hammond of Orlando, Fla., Sandy Woodward and her husband, Norman of Pennfield, Pa., and Sunny Fullas and her husband, Robert of York, Pa.; six grandchildren; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are two sisters, Alma Davis and Mildred Renner, one brother, Richard Davis, one granddaughter, Dawnrae and one brother who died in infancy.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, Pa., where Blessing Service will be held at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2008, followed at 10:30 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Oliver Plunkett Parish, Fredericktown, with the Reverend Paul Grunebach as Celebrant.
Interment will be in the Beallsville Cemetery.
