In the 1901 census, it is spelled Elliott. In the 1911 census, it is spelled Elliot. On his 1933 death registration, his name is spelled Elliott.

His 1875 marriage registration listed his age as 26 and born in Goderich, Ontario (infers a birth year of 1849). His 1877 marriage registration listed his age as 26 (infers a birth year of 1851). The 1881 census listed his age as 28 and born in Ontario (infers a birth year of 1853). The 1901 census listed his age as 48 and born on August 12, 1852. The 1911 census listed his age as 60 and born in August, 1850. His 1933 death registration listed his age as 88, 7 months, 13 days and born in Goderich, Ontario on August 12, 1844.

His residence when married was listed as Muskoka while hers was listed as Goderich Township. His parents were listed as Robert and Mary Irwin. Her parents were listed as John and Rebecca White. 1877 - Marriage 2: Two years later, on July 19, 1877, Elliott Irwin, 26 and born in Canada married Mary Crummer, 20, born in Ireland in Spence Township. Her parents were listed as Mary and William Crummer. He is Methodist, she is Church of England. They planned to live in Spence Township. Source is their 1877 marriage registration. In this document, Elliott Irwin is listed as a bachelor indicating that he may have divorced Sarah White. If she had died, he would have been listed as a widower.

1881 - Census: In 1881, Sarah White 26 was living with her father John White 58 and her mother Rebecca White 48 along with several brothers and sisters in Goderich Township, Huron County. Source is 1881 Census of Canada.

1881 - Census: In 1881, Elliot Irwin 28 was living on a farm in Croft and Spence Township with his wife, Mary Crummer and their two children: Elisabeth 2 and Robert (11 months, born in April). The family was Church of England. Source is 1881 Census of Canada.

1911 - Census: In 1911, Elliot Irwin 60 was a boarder in a household with several other boarders in Armour Township, Parry Sound District. He was listed as single (which is odd) and a labourer, building, who worked 60 hours per week for his employer. His birth date was listed as Aug, 1850. Source is 1911 Canada census.

1921 - WHERE IS HE IN 1921 census? CANNOT LOCATE HIM.

1933 - Death and Burial: Elliott Irwin 88, widowed, died on March 25, 1933 in Burks Falls, Armour Township, Parry Sound District. He had resided in Burks Falls for 62 years. The death registration was filled out by a person from the Old Age Pension Board. He listed Elliott's birth as August 12, 1844 in Goderich, Huron County. Cause of death was stomach cancer. His occupation was listed as Labourer, Lumbering. Elliott Irwin was buried in Burks Falls on March 27, 1933.
