MRS. ELLEN J. BIXLER
Following a sickness of one week from pneumonia, Mrs. Ellen J. Bixler, wife of Edward L. Bixler, died yesterday afternoon at the family residence, Penn Township, near Parkville.
She was aged 50 years, seven months, and 18 days.
She was the daughter of Edward J. Houck and the late Polly Houck.
Thirty years ago she was married to Mr. Bixler, who survives with ten children; Mrs. William Wagner, Landisville; Curby and Paul Bixler and Mrs. Curvin Sterner, West Manheim Township; Erma, Park, Clinton, Wilson, Edward and Roy Bixler, at home.
The following brothers and sisters also survive, John Houck, Hanover; Oliver U. Houck, Theodore Houck and Mrs. George Masemore, Pleasant Hill; Mrs. Monroe Garrett (Emma Houck-Garrett), near St. David's Church, and Mrs. Jacob Garman, near St. John's church.
Eight grandchildren survive.
The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon. A brief service will be conducted at the Bixler home at 1:30 o'clock and concluding services in St. David's Church. The Rev. A. M. Hollinger will officiate. Burial will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
