The IGI does not show the birth of a daughter Ellen in 1843 but there is an Ellen Grice appearing for the Births in Malton District for the 3rd Quarter 1843. (Malton District covers parts of both ERY and NRY) Vol 24 but page indistinct - transcriber advises either 454 or 474) The birth details should include information identifying the mother. Note that this Ellen Grice should not be confused with Ellen Grice bapt 25 Dec 1844 at Weaverthorpe, daughter of Robert Grice and Mary nee Hanson.

With Robert and Ann were their children (may not be conclusive): Dickinson, Ellen, Laban, and Elizabeth. At the time they arrived Robert was 48, Ann - 51, Dickinson - 16, Ellen - 12, Laban and Elizabeth are still being researched. They were sponsored to Richmond, Tasmania by Mr Esh Lovell. Around 1861 Robert and Ann built their new home, called 'Langtoft' after their home in England, at Rekuna, Upper Tea Tree. The house is still standing and occupied today. Unfortunately the property was sold out of the family around twenty years ago. Ellen met William Boag around 1863, probably in Richmond, and their first child was born on 13 Sep 1863, out of wedlock (a big no-no at the time). That is why I assume they married in Campbell Town in 1866, it happens to be on the way to Launceston, where I believe the Boag family lived. We enquired at the cemetery about William and Ellen. As luck would have it we found them buried there! The down side was that the graves are unmarked; however there was this information on their computer: William Boag died around July 1921, as the funeral was on the first of July 1921. He was 94 when he died. Ellen Boag died around June 1918, as the funeral was on the 18th of June 1918. She was 75 when she died. They were buried together, which would indicate that they are the right Ellen and William, the ages and approximate birth dates also fit.
