- ↑ Galveston, Oct. 12-(Tribune Special)-Mrs. Ellen Frances Miller,
age 76, wife of Ike Miller, died at the family home six miles
southwest of here, Thursday morning at 8:30 o'clock, after a
lingering illness. She had been bedfast a month. Mrs. Miller
was a member of Bethel Friends church and had lived in the
community in which she died her entire life. Surviving with
the husband are six children: Mrs. Ida Saylor of Galveston,
Claude and Fred of Logansport, L.F. Miller of Ervin township,
George Miller of Covington, Ky, and Mrs. Dora Roach of Kokomo.
There also are three brothers, William Conwell of Kokomo,
Charles Conwell of Clay township, and B.F. Conwell of
Logansport; one sister, Mrs. Belle Gilbert of Kokomo; 18
granchildren and 20 gr-granchildren.[Note: 20 more gr-grandkids
8 years later!]
The body was taken to the John Thomas funeral home and
funeral services will be held at the late home Saturday
afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. Fred. Johnson of this
place officiating. Burial will be in the Galveston cemetery."
