- ↑ "MRS. CLYDE RITTER-- Ella Louise, Eldest Daughter of the Late Ora T. andLouisa Brooks Kimball, was born August 4, 1881, at Orland, Indiana, andafter all loving hands could do, departed this life, October 14, at theUnited States Marina hospital at Norfolk, Virginia.
She attended Orland school and taught for three years in districtschools near her home. On July 15, 1907, she was united in married with Clyde Ritter of Angola.To this union was born two children. After several years spent inAngola and Pleasant Lake, Mr. Ritter was appointed a pharmacist in theUnited States Public Health Service, and since that time they have livedin several cities throughout the United States. Having resided inBuffalo, New York, for the last 15 years, they were transferred inFebruary, 1943, to Norfolk, Virginia. Ella was a faithful member of the Central Presbyterian Church ofBuffalo, to which she gave much of her time and effort. She was verydevoted to her family and their welfare and comfort was always her firstconsideration. Surviving are her husband, the son, Robert K. Ritter, wife, Olive andson, Bobby of Buffalo, New York, the daughter, Ruth L. Ritter, ofNorfolk, Virginia; a sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Beecher ofHazel Park, Michigan; two brothers and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. O. C.Kimball of Hillsdale, Michigan, and Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Kimball, ofSturgis, Michigan; two nephews, Lieut. Leon S. Kimball of Camp Carson,Colorado, and Sergeant Wm. H. Beecher, of Fort Monmouth, New Jersey andseveral cousins."
