    Ella Greene, daughter of Stillman R., and Amie Crandall Greene, was born August 3, 1854, at Dakota, Waushara County, Wis., and passed away at her home in Milton, November 20, 1940.
    She was married to Ellery B. Hill of Dakota on March 29, 1874. A year later they moved to Berlin, Wis., where they made their home for thirty-nine years, coming to Milton in 1913. She was baptized at the age of fourteen and was a member of the Seventh Day Baptist churches in the three communities in which she made her home.
    She is survived by a daughter, Ellen, of Chicago; and a brother, George, of Milton. She was preceded in death by her husband, on April 26, 1931.
    Funeral services were conducted by Pastor Carroll L. Hill and Rev. Claude L. Hill of Farina, Ill. Interment was in Milton cemetery. C. L. H.

    Milton - Mrs. Ella Greene Hill, 86, died at her home on Plumb street, Milton, Wednesday after an illness of several weeks.
    A daughter of the late Stillman R. and Amie Annie Crandall Greene, she was born at Dakota, Waushara county, Aug. 3, 1854. Since the age of 14 she had been a member of the Seventh Day Baptist church.
    After her graduation from Wautoma high school she taught school. She was married March 29, 1874, to Ellery B. Hill of Dakota. A year later they moved to Berlin, where they lived for 39 years, coming to Milton in 1913. Her husband preceded her in death on April 26, 1931. A brother, Duella, of Hancock and a half-brother, Ernest Hill of Berlin also preceded her in death.
    Survivors are a daughter, Ellen, Chicago and a brother, George, Milton, as well as a number of cousins, nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the home. Burial will be in Milton cemetery.
