(Samuel Hayes') widow Elizabeth d. at Norwalk, 3 Nov. 1729. Perhaps she was a second wife and widow of James Pickett of Danbury; unless indeed the widow Elizabeth Pickett m. his bro. Nathaniel; but since Nathaniel did not name a wife in his will 1705, and this woman was living 1711, that supposition is less likely, unless indeed Nathaniel had a prenuptial contract with her and in consequence omitted to mention her in his will.
