Union Springs News, 6 Dec 1956: MRS. FRANCIS O'BRIEN Services for Mrs. Betty O'Brien, 43, of Locke, who died Monday December 3rd at University Hospital, Syracuse, following heart surgery, were held in Locke Methodist Church... Thursday. The Rev. Bernard DeGraw, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Indian Mound Cemetery, Moravia. Mrs. O'Brien was an ardent sportswoman and active in community affairs. She was a member of the Locke Methodist Church, Locke Fire Dept. Auxiliary, Moravia Sportsmen's Club and the Citizen's Committee of Locke. Surviving are her husband, Francis O'Brien; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Hammon and Miss Ruth O'Brien, both of Locke; her mother, Mrs. Otto Heisner of Locke; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Francis and Mrs. Lester Bowen, both of Moravia and Mrs. Francis Tuttal of California and one grandson.
