Mike Hahn claims that Elizabeth, the wife of Peter Bell, has been incorrectly identified as Elizabeth Leiter, daughter of Jacob Leiter. Instead, she is Elizabeth Vogeler, the daughter of Johann Frederich and Ann Vogeler (John Frederick Fogler).
Hahn notes (correctly) that Jacob Leiter does not name a daughter named Elizabeth in his will.
Hahn also notes that the children of Peter Bell and his wife Elizabeth are named as grandchildren in the will of [John] Frederick Folger, citing "Western Maryland Genealogy, Vol. VII, 1995, p. 23; Washington County Wills, Book A2" and "Will, Maryland State Archives, 1789-1802, Description A 2,i; Accession No. 9147; MSA No. C1981-2; Location 1/63/2/14" (transcriptions included).
