    No explanation has been found for Matthew Sension's bequest to "my marther selle" [Fairfield PR 2:47].

    This probate was for Matthew1 not for Matthias2, so the "Seeley" conjecture would not apply to the wife of this man anyway.

    "The only evidence I know of for the Seeley name is that Matthias's will mentions a 'mother Seeley.' Now that might be evidence of her being a mother-in-law but I think in those days it might also mean an unrelated elderly woman. So the evidential value of this is nil."
