Facts and Events
Elizabeth Tarbox's origins have yet to be researched. Her first sighting is on 13th February 1770 at Drayton Parslow in Buckinghamshire, when she married Amor Hickinbottom, who was from the nearby town of Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire. Their next sighting is in 1776, when they had a daughter named Rose baptised at Leighton Buzzard, although the register notes that the family actually lived at Billington, a hamlet removed from the town itself. Rose was followed two years later by another daughter named Susannah who appears to have been baptised in the chapel at Billington rather than in the main church at Leighton Buzzard. Elizabeth died in 1803, 33 years after her marriage. She was buried on 29th March 1803 at Leighton Buzzard and described as the wife of "Armor Hickembottom" of Billington. Amor outlived her by 23 years, and remarried seven months after her death. References
