On the marriage of Elizabeth Shore she is aged 20 born 1838, so checked for Elizabeth Shore born Scotland from 1836-1839 only about 4 born, ruled out ones still in British isles after 1855, that left 2, both born mid Calder Midlothian, Scotland, one was Shores with the s,born 1837 9th June parents Thomas Shores & Margaret Laidlaw. Second one on 1841 census. Thomas Shore age 30 born 1811 Midlothian. Margaret Shore age 30 born 1811 Scotland. Mary Shore age 10 born 1834 Midlothian. James Shore age 5 born 1836 Midlothian. ELIZABETH SHORE age 3 born Midlothian,*** Jane Shore age 1 born 1841 Midlothian.

Although the 2 have different years of birth and the extra S in Shore, if you consider transcribing errors etc, the parents are both Thomas & Margaret, both Midlothian, so I think they are the one Elizabeth Shore/Shores. Also Midlothian was part of Edinburgh.
