Elizabeth Shambrook was baptised on 18th April 1704 at Graveley in Hertfordshire, daughter of Thomas Shambrook. (Her mother is not named on her baptism record.)

On 5th October 1729, aged 25, Elizabeth married Henry Copps, a labourer. They moved to the nearby village of Letchworth, where they had a son, Thomas, baptised in 1730.

Less than two years after Thomas's birth, Elizabeth died, aged about 28. She was buried back at Graveley on 6th April 1732. Henry survived her by over thirty years.
