She married Solomon Markel in Wayne Co, Ohio, 13 Jan 1835. Solomon was born in Westmoreland Co, Pennsylvania 11 Dec 1812, the son of Jacob Markel and Margaret Trostel. Solomon died 28 Sep 1883 in Ashland Co age 70. He was buried in St. Lukes Cemetery.

Catherine Howman was born 1816 and died estimated 1890. She married Jacob Shugars in Wayne Co, Ohio, Feb 1836. Jacob was born in Pennsylvania in 1814.

From David Howman's book: Peter was a very successful farmer, owning as much as 300 acres around 1880. His farm is owned by a cattle farmer today and is located less than 1/2 mile south of Wayne Co Rd 161 on the west side of State 539. It is said that Peter gave each of his eight children $1,000 upon marriage to help them get a start.

He married Mary Ann Ewing in Wayne Co, 29 Nov 1855. Mary was born in Wayne Co 10 Feb 1838, the daughter of Samuel Ewing and Eliza ___. Mary died 28 Oct 1859 in Wayne Co, at 21 years of age and was buried in Congress Cemetery. He married Sarah McVicker in Wayne Co, 24 Jul 1864. Sarah was born in Wayne Co 6 Jun 1840 and died 31 Dec 1920 in Wayne Co, at 80 years of age. Her body was buried in Congress Cemetery.
