Elizabeth C. (Picknell) Irish, 87, of Puyallup, passed away Sunday morning (June 2, 2002) at the LifeCare Center in Puyallup. She was the wife of the late Harold Irish. Born in Seattle, Elizabeth was the daughter of Stanley G. and Bessie I. (Russell) Picknell. She was raised in and attended schools at Centralia, where she married in 1939. From 1952 through 1966, she was a resident of Orting, moving then with her husband to Puyallup for the balance of her life. She was employed for many years as an accountant and office manager for Fors (Poultry) Farms in Puyallup. She was a member of the Order or Eastern Star for 54 years and a Past Worthy Matron of the Narcissus Chapter in Orting. She spent many of her last 20 years playing golf and bridge as a member of Lyndon Golf Club. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and John Nahas of Bellingham; her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Lisa Irish and her grandsons, Jared and Paul Irish, all of Vernon, CT. A service is planned for Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Hill Funeral Home in Puyallup. Memorial donations may be made to Orting Alumni Scholarship Foundation, PO Box 46, Orting,Washington 98360.
