[Note: Warwick records and Source:Allred, Marilyn. Town of Warwick, Franklin County, Massachusetts, Genealogical Records 1739-1900, Births, Marriages,, p. 267, show James marrying 1786 Elizabeth Chapin, so this source appears unaware of that marriage to a second wife with the same given name as his first wife. The estate of William Newton [Middlesex Case 15905] lists as children of James Stockwell, "whose wife was a sister to said Deceased late of Warwick", and therefore heirs of the deceased 4 of the children given by Newton (Phebe is missing, apparently died before this): Elijah, James, Sally McFadden wife of [Edw? later named as Edward] McFadden, [Rebecca] wife of Reuben Bridge. It does not include any of the children recorded in Warwick after 1786, presumably because they were not related to William Newton.]
