Elizabeth Moore was born ca 1788/89 (per 1860 census), in Burke County, North Carolina (per 1850 and 1860 census). She was mentioned in the 1903 letter as a daughter of old William H. Moore: "Elizabeth, who married Ben Tutt".

Elizabeth seems to have been home with her parents for the 1790 census (no ages given), and with them in 1800 (age 10-15, born ca 1784/90).

Elizabeth married Benjamin Tutt ca 1810 in Buncombe Co, NC. See their own page for additional information.

For some reason, several researchers list her as "Margaret Elizabeth Tutt", which is incorrect. The 1903 letter has a handwritten "Margaret" above the name of Elizabeth, but it was obviously written in later by someone else, and I can only speculate as to why someone wrote it there.
