Passed on April 18, 2006, she was 82. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to James Nelson McLeod and Florence Maas McLeod. She survived three husbands, Joseph Lauchnor, Calvin Cooksey and Glen White. Elizabeth graduated from South High School in SLC and attended St. Mary's of Notre Dame from 1941-1942. She graduated from the University of Utah in 1946 and was a member and two time President of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Her family moved to Denver, CO in 1962, where she remained at her residence in Golden until her death. She was a travel agent for more than 30 years, traveling to all the corners of the globe, several times. In addition to traveling she enjoyed entertaining and cooking for family and friends, playing golf and bridge at the Country Club and gardening at home. She was a long time member of the Assistance League of Denver and loyal to the Humble Oil Retirement group. She is survived by her sister, Francis Hardwick; nephews, Jim and Ken Hardwick of SLC, UT; niece Hilary Hardwick of Anchorage, AK; daughter Kathleen McDowell of Arvada, CO; son and daughter-in-law David and Emily Lauchnor of Missoula, MT; step-daughter Sara Cooksey Schneider of Athens, Greece; step-son Jack Cooksey of Chicago, Il; step-daughter, Adrienne White David of Crown Point, NM. Grandchildren are: Courtney McDowell Dorr and her husband Jim, Joseph McDowell, David Lauchnor, Jr. and Elizabeth Lauchnor; and stepgrandchildren, Shane David and Carey David Price; and step-great-grandchildren Harrison and Fletcher Price. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen McDowell, Arvada, CO; son and daughter-in-law David and Emily Lauchnor, Missoula, MT; grandchildren Courtney McDowell Dorr (Jim), David Lauchnor, Jr., Joseph McDowell and Elizabeth Lauchnor; her sister, Frances M. Hardwick, Salt Lake City, UT; nieces, nephews, step-children and step-grandchildren.
