WHITNEY, Elizabeth, sp. Jabez, ae 46, Jones Cem., Orange, Nov. 5, 1808
[Note: age 46, so birth about 1762. Appears to cite Jay Mack Holbrook, "Vital Records of Orange, Massachusetts, to 1891", as well as readings of tombstones in the Central Cemetery and Jones Cemetery, Orange, MA.]

  5. Source:Allred, Marilyn. Town of Warwick, Franklin County, Massachusetts, Genealogical Records 1739-1900, Births, Marriages,, p. 183, claims this Elizabeth m. Wilder Stevens, but as explained on the page for that couple, based on the names that couple gave their children, it appears it was a different Elizabeth Mayo that married Wilder Stevens. As might be expected from the inscription given by the Whitney Research Group, cited above, their presentation identifies Jabez Whitney's wife as the Elizabeth of this page.
