"Mrs. Elizabeth Harding, one of the oldest and best known residents of the village, died Tuesday evening at her home on Court street. Death was due to creeping paralysis from which she had suffered five years. Deceased was a daughter of the late John Lynn, a pioneer resident of Canfield, and was born Nov. 1, 1830, consequently had passed her 81st birthday. She was married in 1850 to George E. Harding of this township, who died 25 years ago. Some time after her husband's death Mrs. Harding moved to the village where she had since resided. Mrs. Harding is survived by five daughters and one son, as follows; Mrs. B. F. Johnson and George E. Harding of Cleveland, Mrs. W. C. Simon of Boardman, Mrs. D. H. Johnson of Youngstown, Mrs. G. A. Hilbish of Akron and Miss Alice Harding of Canfield. Early in life the deceased united with Zion reformed church in which she always retained her membership. She was a kind motherly woman and had many friends. Funeral services conducted by Rev. J. C. Schaaf will be held from the family home Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Interment will be made in the village cemetery."
