The Peerage^[1] indicates that she was the daughter of Gilbert Kennedy of Dunure, 1st Lord Kennedy, who was born about 1406. There does not appear to be any way to make the dates work for this, other than to place the birth of Blaise Vaux (Elizabeth's grandson) as late as 1450-55, and an infant or very young child when his father resigned Barnbarroch to him in 1456. This does not seem likely, but it is possible that there were political reasons for doing this. If so, this would allow about 15-16 years per generation for 3 generations in a row - Gilbert to Elizabeth to Robert to Blaise).
