  3. The deeds cited on her husband's Talk page show Thomas and Elizabeth selling land of John Howard of Bridgewater. But he was not her father, rather her grandfather. Since her father d. by 1691, before her grandfather who d. 1700, James' share went to his children including Elizabeth. For example, Plymouth deed Vol. 25, p. 53 22 Sep 1725: John Haward, Jonathan Haward, Thomas Buck & Elizabeth his wife all of Bridgewater for £24 conveys to Samuel Keith of Bridgwater Husbandman half a 20 acre lot (lot 52 in the last division). Jonathan and father James each inherited a quarter part of an undivided property. James' part was inherited by this three kids, but Mercy died so her part would have been split between siblings James and Elizabeth. So they account for James' quarter and combined with their uncle Jonathan's quarter results in half of the lot, which is the amount sold.
