QUAY 3 "Orient Pioneer died at Sears - Mrs. Eliza Mackie, a resident of Sears for nearly 50 years, died at her home there Friday, at the age of 75 years. Mrs Mackie...was born at Benton Harbor, in 1859, com ing to Sears with her husband, in 1878, from Canada, where she had spent her girlhood. She is survived by two children, Walter Mackie and Mrs. Abbie Wilt, both of Sears; two grandchildren, Mrs. Jane t Maskell, of Sears, and Lyle Wilt, of St. Joseph; a sister, Mrs. John L. Arndt of Evart."
