In later years the family home has been Saltsburg, Pennsylvania. His death occurred May 1st, 1905. Their children are as follows. ... Elizabeth Jane was born April 1st, 1860. On May 14th, 1888, she became the second wife of James Chambers Moore, of Saltsburg, Pennsylvania. Their children are Helen, born April 18th, 1889, William Ralph, born April 11th, 1891, and James Edward, born Jan 5th, 1898, and died at the age of one year.

JAMES C. MOORE, head of the J. C. Moore Hardware & Supply Company, of Saltsburg, Indiana county, is one of the leading business men of that borough. He has been interested in his present line since 1875, all that period connected with the same establishment.
Mr. Moore is a native of Saltsburg, born Dec. 19, 1848, son of William and Jane (Robinson) Moore, and is of Scotch-Irish descent. ... On May 2, 1888, Mr. Moore married (second) Jennie E. Ewing, daughter of Matthew and Elizabeth Ewing, of Jacksonville, Indiana Co., Pa., and they have had three children: Helen, a graduate of Wooster University, 1907, now the wife of O. C. Kelly, of Bloomfield, N. J., employed by the Westinghouse Company; Ralph, born in 1891, who is now attending State College; and Edward, who died in infancy.

- There is also a Jennie Ewing (Moorhead) in the Ewing plot at Edgewood Cemetery in Saltsburg, PA, who may be the same person, but this seems unlikely. It seems more likely that there were two women in the locality known as Jennie Ewing.
Accepting Jennie Ewing Moorhead as the same person as the subject of this page, Elizabeth jane Ewing, raises two problems. First, her birthdate of 1857 from her gravestone requires that she was conceived and possibly even born before her parents were married. Second, if we accept that Elizabeth Jane Ewing was the second wife of James Moore, James Moore was still alive in 1913, at the time J. T. Stewart's history was published, so that this Jennie Ewing could not have married William S. Moorhead in 1892, as described in the Find-A-Grave entry below.
Instead, I believe that Elizabeth Jane Ewing is the Jennie E. Ewing that married James C. Moore, as reported in the biography of James C. Moore in J. T. Stewart's history of Indiana County, because of the close match between the two sources (Joseph Lyons Ewing and J. T. Stewart) on the dates and the issue of the marriage.
Here is the information on the grave of Jennie Ewing Moorhead from Find-A-Grave:
Birth: 1857 Pennsylvania, USA Death: 1944 Indiana County Pennsylvania, USA
There is some disagreement as to whether she was married to a Mr. Moorhead or a James Moore. This is her tombstone in the midst of the stones of her family. The Indiana Co. PA Marriage Records show a Jennie E. Ewing and James Moore married in 1888 and a Jennie Ewing and William S. Moorhead married in 1892.
