Sharon 23 Nov 1790, widow of Ebenezer Wentworth. Source:Wentworth, John. Wentworth Genealogy identifies Ebenezer Wentworth's wife only as Elizabeth Clapp, m. (2) John Holmes. She does not appear to be mentioned in Source:Clapp, Ebenezer. Clapp Memorial. There is an Elizabeth Clap born Dorchester 1726 but her father is said to have moved to Plymouth by 1730 and no further trace is found. Presumably the birth estimate is based on the date of her first marriage? It is not clear where the death date comes from, as Sharon records only show the death of an unidentified Elizabeth Holmes in Oct 1790, no such death in January of that year? So all that seems to be said with confidence is that she is the woman who married these two men.
