  3. ↑ 3.0 3.1 The information given by Leonard would make Elizabeth 14 at time of marriage and calls into serious question if the author has identified the correct Elizabeth Claflin. The age at death suggests a birth about 1732 which is more appropriate for a 1753 marriage. It seems more likely that it was Elizabeth, d/o Robert and Elizabeth Claflin, b. Hopkinton 1735. These parents had a son born in Westborough in 1752 which aligns with the location of the marriage. However, no specific evidence identifying her parents is known.
