Elizabeth Briden's origins have yet to be established. Her first confirmed sighting is on 1st January 1775, when she married Jonathan Perry at Caddington in Bedfordshire. The following year they had a daughter baptised at Caddington, but she appears to have died as a baby. Elizabeth and Jonathan later moved to Eversholt, about eleven miles north of Caddington, which is where Jonathan was originally from. At Eversholt they had a further six children baptised between 1785 and 1796, although as two were called Ann and two called Mary it seems likely that some died young. Jonathan died in 1805, aged 51. It is not clear when Elizabeth died; there were several people called Elizabeth Perry living in Eversholt at that time. References
