Elizabeth (Breed), b. at Pullowhill, Eng. or at Lynn, c1631/2; d. at Lynn, bef. 1676; m. at Lynn, as his 1st wife, c1652, William Merriam, b. prob. at Twedley, co. Kent, Eng., c1624 (Charles Pierce Merriam, Genealogical Memoranda Relating to the Family of Merriam [London, 1900]; hereafter, Merriam Gen., 42), and buried at Lynn, 22 May 1689 (Lynn VR). He was the son of Joseph and Sara (Goldstone) Merriam (ibid.). Elizabeth and William Merriam received from her father, Allen Breed, on 26 June 1666, 230 acres of land at Lynn.
