BIRTH: Birth date per ltr. of 5 Sep 1909 to Mary Anna B. Jordan is the 2nd [by her account of 'last Thursday' and my calender rsearch], not 22nd as shown in some records. One of Elizabeth's obituary articles, dated Sept 22, 1912, indicates she was born 22 Sept 1839 [see correct date above] Another obituary furnished by Joe Trego in March 2002 shows the correct date. The 1850 Henry Co., IL census shows her birthplace as Tennessee, but must be in error.

Listed as Lizzy Lippincott in 1870 Fed. Census for Richland Grove Twp., [Swedona P.O.], Mercer Co., IL, enumerated on 18 Aug 1870, age 31, b. PA, keeping house. Listed as Elizabeth Lippincott in 1880 Fed. census in Orion, Henry Co., IL, Dist. 122, enumerated on 7 Jun 1880, age 40, b. PA, keeping house. Listed as Lizzie T. Lippincott in 1900 Fed. census for Orion, Henry Co., IL, Dist. 28, enumerated on 9 Jun 1900, age 60, b. Sep 1839, PA, married 34 years, 1 child born, 1 still living. Listed as Elizabeth T. Lippincott in 1910 Fed. Census for [part of Cahuenga Twp., Hollywood Precinct #1] Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., CA, Dist. 276, enumerated on 15 Apr 1910, age 70, b. PA, married 44 years. In ltr. of 20 Feb 1910 to E.B.J., she signs it "Your admiring Aunt Lizzie". In ltr. of 11 Oct 1909, to Mary Anna B. Jordan, she relates that tonight we are attending a banquet [in L.A.] for Presidend Taft, along w/Charles & Nellie. According to a ltr. from Byron Jordan to E.B.J., Aunt Lizzie diad 16 Sep 1912. She was a birthright member of the Society of Quakers, member of the W.C.T.U., Equal Suffrage Society & Woman's Relief Corps. Moved w/her parents to Orion, IL in 1841. She and John moved to Hollywood in 1907. Got middle name from a letter she wrote to E.B.J. Her ltr. of 13 Apr 1912 to E.B.J. & Lura, thanking them for visiting them in Hollywood. Jeremy Jordan has a photo of her & Mary Anna Blackfan Jordan, her sister w/E.B.J. when he was a child.
