In Farina, Ill., March 9th, 1873, of pneumonia, Mrs. Eliza M. Coon, wife of A. Stillman Coon, in the 47th year of her age.
Sister Coon gave her heart to God in early life, and was baptized at Berlin, N. Y., by Eld. W. B. Maxson. Her gentle Christian spirit and living sympathy evinced her abiding union with the Saviour. A husband and four children deeply mourn a faithful wife, a devoted mother, and a wise counselor. The church has lost a beloved and worthy member, and the community a kind and sympathizing neighbor.
Her funeral services were held March 11th, when a large and attentive congregation listened to a sermon by her pastor, from Rev. 14: 13: "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth; yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them." O. U. W.
