    "Dr. Elisha Sill (455), born at Lyme, Conn., 6 April, 1730, the seventh son of Joseph Sill and Phebe Lord of Lyme, was a grandson of Elizabeth Hyde of the third generation. He graduated at Yale in 1754. He was a physician, and they settled at Goshen. He was a surgeon in Gen. Wolcott's brigade of Connecticut volunteers, in the war of the revolution, and was present at the capture of Burgoyne's army at Saratoga. He was a justice of the peace of Litchfield county, many years. He died at Goshen in 1808."
